Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) will launch a new CityTutor Hub for the 2022-2023 school year, serving students in Wards 7 and 8 at their Clubhouse 14 and FBR Club @THEARC locations. For more than 136 years, BGCGW has offered out-of-school time programming for Washington, DC, children and youth.

BGCGW’s Mike McDonald, Vice President of Impact and Innovation, notes that 98% of their Club members identify as African American or Latinx and that the pandemic exacerbated some of the academic challenges they face. “We are eager to be a part of the solution. This partnership with CityTutor DC allows BGCGW to join forces with schools in the effort to accelerate students and turn learning trends around.”
