GOODProjects will launch one of the first CityTutor Hubs, tutoring students in the GOODZone in Ward 6, established in the largest public housing community in DC, within the James Creek, Syphax Gardens, Greenleaf, and smaller surrounding properties. This CityTutor Hub will recruit and train math tutors to supplement GOODProjects’ efforts to create safe spaces for remote learning.

Darius Baxter, Chief Engagement Officer at GOODProjects, said this partnership would support youth and their families in Southwest DC.

“By partnering with CityTutorDC, we can further enhance our GOODLearningHub in Ward 6 to provide our youth with more than just basic needs, but also unique experiences and opportunities they are not typically afforded due to poverty,” Baxter said. “Establishing a CityTutor Hub will allow us to continue lifting families from poverty.”
