CityTutor DC Announces School Year 2025-2026 Request for Proposals for High-Impact Tutoring

CityTutor DC is proud to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for both high-impact tutoring (HIT) providers and Local Education Agencies using school staff to provide HIT for the upcoming school year 2025-26. Since 2021, CityTutor DC’s coalition of tutoring providers including university partners, national organizations, local nonprofits, and LEAs has reached more than 26,000 students.

As a leader of Washington, DC’s high-impact tutoring (HIT) ecosystem, we will continue to expand and strengthen HIT’s impact during school year 2025-26 through HIT Service Providers, including:

  • External tutoring organizations, with proven track records of results, that will pursue continuation or expansion of HIT programs in DCPS and DC public charter schools OR
  • DC Local Education Agencies (LEAs), that will pursue continuation or expansion of staff-led HIT programs.

The HIT Service Providers selected will serve students with tutoring aligned to research-based standards of practice for public school students in grades K-12. Selected HIT Service Providers must offer HIT to students enrolled in DC public or public charter schools. CityTutor DC will provide financial support, training and consulting resources, data support, and thought partnership for selected HIT Service Providers.

Please see the RFP document for more information on how to apply.
