Raising A Village is offering a new paid opportunity starting in January 2023. They are now able to hire Driven Student Guides directly through Raising A Village – no Federal Work Study required! Driven Student Guides are the heart and soul of the Driven 2 Succeed Program at the Raising A Village Foundation.

They are looking for passionate changemakers to reach, teach, and inspire our learners in-school, after school, or in community programs through mentorship and academic intervention. If you are interested in this paid position, please complete the Driven Student Guide Intake Form and the Driven Student Guide: Reference Form.

AmeriCorps

Some of our CityTutor DC partners (including Literacy Lab, City Year Washington DC, and Blueprint Schools Network) employ AmeriCorps service members for full-time placements as high-impact tutors within their organizations. To learn more about AmeriCorps terms of service and open opportunities in DC, visit the AmeriCorps website.

Mentor

CityTutor DC partners are also recruiting volunteer mentors to fill the demand. DC Tutoring and Mentoring Initiative is coordinating recruitment efforts for many of these organizations; fill out their sign-up form to get connected!

The Latino Student Fund offers mentoring with Te Guio for 9th and 10th graders; mentors can join the program Monday – Friday from 4 pm – 6 pm. Contact teguio@latinostudentfund.org for more information.
